Rolf Bertram Zusammenfassung Abstract To explain the effect of radioactive radiations to living systems models are used which does not sufficiently correspond with the really physical and physiological mechanisms of destroying the tissues of organisms and the influences on processes of metabolism. That is especially true for the particle radiations. In order to gain plausibility and picturesque imaginations the corpuscular radiation is described as a ballistic damage in the region of the direct hit. Modelling like that are uncritically taken from the inorganic solid state theory. The transfer of those very simplificated imaginations on highly complex structures and interacting biomolecule-clusters is not scientific. Regarding the fact that the trace of energy by dense ionizing radiation happens in a billionth of a second (e. g. from a single alphaparticle) transfers amounts of energy in the range of MeV leads to total different pictures and must result in other evaluations. In the interest of the protection from radioactive damages the dictates of the moments is to correct the limiting values for ionizing radiations - if we even should not cancel them at all. keywords: ionization track, recoil track, thermal neutron, thermal neutron activation, radiative capture, radiobiological action, nuclear reactions, neutron-gamma reaction, internal radiation umwelt-medizin-gesellschaft 19(3): 220-223 |
