Zusammenfassung
REACH ist für unsere Zukunft notwendig und sinnvoll. Um die damit verbundene Registrierung, Evaluierung und Autorisierung von Chemikalien ernsthaft durchführen zu können, benötigen die Sachbearbeiter die vollständige Inhaltsstoffliste von Produkten.
Die ARGE kdR (Arbeitsgemeinschaft kontrolliert deklarierter Rohstoffe und Materialien) hat daher, gestützt auf eine wissenschaftliche und unabhängige Beurteilung, eine einfache aber einprägsame Kennzeichnung entwickelt, die die Verwendung fossiler und / oder erneuerbarer Rohstoffe und Materialien in einem Produkt kenntlich macht. Wenn Verbraucher diese Kennzeichnung im Alltag bewusst als klare Entscheidungshilfe gebrauchen, können sie auf eine anhaltende Entwicklung einwirken und kommen somit ihrer Verantwortung zukünftigen Generationen gegenüber nach.
Die "gläserne Rezeptur" mit dem "R" nutzt Verbrauchern bei der Auswahl aller Alltagsprodukte wie Reinigungs-, Wasch-, Körperpflegemittel um mögliche allergene, sensibilisierende oder toxische Inhaltsstoffe zu erkennen.
Bauexperten nutzt dieser Informationspool um bei Sanierungen und Neubauten die richtigen Bau- und Ausstattungsmaterialien für die Planung, Durchführung und Überwachung auszuwählen.
REACH wird uns, ohne die offen zugänglichen Basisdaten durch das R-Symbol keinen echten Verbraucher- und Gesundheitsschutz bringen. Daher sollten sich alle Umwelt(medizinischen)Verbände für REACH und die Volldeklaration mit dem R-Symbol einsetzen.
Summary
REACH is an essential and reasonable tool for our future. Specialists need a full declaration of the concerning products to accomplish seriously the registration, evaluation and authorization of chemicals. The ARGE kdR (Working group for Certified Resources and Materials) therefore developed a simple but significant label being based on an scientific and independent assessment which allows to identify the use of fossil and /or renewable resources and materials in a product. By using the label as a daily objective and definite decision guidance, consumers are able to influence sustainable developments thereby fulfilling their commitments towards future generations. The transparent listing of ingredients by means of the "R“ Symbol helps consumers to make a selection from all of the everyday products like cleaners, detergents or body care products avoiding those with allergic, sensitizing or toxic ingredients. Moreover, this information is useful to building experts to choose the right materials for either renovation projects or new buildings during the different stages of planning, realization and supervision. Without these dataset, open-laid by the "R" Symbol, REACH will not lead us to a real protection of the consumers and their health. Therefore, all organizations for environmental protection and medical care should support REACH and the full declaration by means of the "R" (Resources).
